PROTOS® Set Lupine Piko R 4SC
Combining compact size, low weight, reliability, and an output of 2,100 lumens, the new Lupine sets the benchmark in its class. The lamp head and battery together weigh just under 200 grams. With an IP67 rating, it is not only dustproof but also protected against temporary immersion in water.
The batteries are resistant to cold temperatures, and the lighting system remains fully operational down to -25°C. Its solid CNC-machined aluminum housing provides exceptional impact resistance. The lamp offers a long beam range of 215 m (according to the ANSI standard) while delivering excellent illumination of the immediate work area.
For close-range tasks, the lamp also features a dedicated low-output “reading light” LED. A versatile remote control can be mounted on the wrist, chainsaw, or other equipment, allowing convenient light adjustment without operating buttons on the helmet. With optional accessories, the Lupine can quickly be converted back into a headlamp.

I just didn’t hear the warning call “Timber!”. In September 2018, as I often do, I was doing some forestry work in the dense spruce forest when, out of nowhere, a tree weighing over a ton, hit me from behind. The emergency team was quite surprised to find that I was still conscious in view of my serious injuries.
At the hospital, the situation seemed dramatic – severe fractures of the shoulder, vertebrae, pelvis and legs, and a level 1 out of 3 traumatic head injury. However, what the doctors could hardly believe was that despite the severe blow to the back of my head, there was not a single bone fracture in my head and no injury to my cervical spine. The PROTOS® Forest protected me from this and thus saved my life.
After several operations and months of rehabilitation, I went to Koblach and handed over my destroyed head protection to the PROTOS® team. The fact that I was able to walk again without a walker is just incredible.
